Canada does about 80+% of all its export business with the USA, so when the USA has trouble Canadian exports struggle. Of all the developed economies in the world ours is the most dependent on one single market than any others. And that is mostly in the export of commodities such as oil, gas, minerals, wheat, hydro etc. Not much in manufactured goods ( other than autos). Most of our eggs are in one basket and that basket has holes in it. Canadian and actually all companies regardless of the nationality need to participate more in global markets.
